Tomorrow is April Fool’s Day! Play some fun jokes, but not practical jokes, on your family. And definitely pretend to be fooled when your kids try to prank you. Here are a few family-friendly ideas.
Turn everything in the house (that is practical) upside down, and then act like everything is normal.
Serve breakfast for dinner. Or dinner for breakfast.
Switch the bags inside the kids’ cereal boxes.
If you have access to a funny wig, like from a Halloween costume, tell your kids you are going to the hairdresser and then come back wearing the wig. Ask them what they think of your new hairdo.
What are your fun jokes? Tell me in the comments.

Winter solstice cake

Something I have done in the past was switching the contents of snack bags and resealing the bag. It could be chips, goldfish, cookies, etc. Carefully open the bag and replace with a completely different snack and reseal. A bag resealer is only a few dollars on Amazon.
I also unscrewed the aerator on the sink faucet and put in a tub tint tablet and then screwed it back on. When kids use the sink the water comes out a color!
