This talented fashion illustrator used the name M.E. Musselman. I was able to determine that she was a woman…she is referred to as “Miss” M.E. Musselman in a few press releases in the 1910s. She was a director at Ladies Home Journal, and illustrated for magazines and clothing catalogs in the 1910s and 1920s. I could not find a biography or any other information about her.
