Clean your fireplace glass in preparation for using it this fall and winter. You can actually clean the glass with ashes left over from a previous fire. I have done this and it really works!

Make a paste from the wood ashes and water, and smear it on the inside of the fireplace glass. Wait a minute, and then rub it off with a damp paper towel.

Once it’s all clean, make sure you have firewood and the supplies you need.

If you do not know how to use your fireplace, or if you avoid using the fireplace because you end up with smoke in your house, this video is very helpful as well as amusing.
