Welcome to June! Tomorrow I’m going to share a vintage recipe for a June-themed cake. Normally I like to do recipes on Fridays, but for this cake you could make use of leftover fresh-picked strawberries from yesterday, so I wanted to share it with you right away. The strawberries go only into the frosting, so you can use a boxed cake mix or whatever favorite cake recipe you like. The vintage recipe for the frosting is a cooked icing, so you’ll need an egg.

I’m going to leave the rest of the week’s prompts a surprise, but they are mostly summer-themed to help welcome us to June in the northern hemisphere.
