Just about a week and a half ’til the spookiest day! Do you have your pumpkin? Do you need to check in with kids about Halloween costumes? Pick up candy favorites while they are on sale, and before they are sold out.

If you don’t want to use pumpkins as a table centerpiece, or if they are too difficult for you to carve, you can carve bell peppers instead. Just probably don’t put real candles inside. Use a battery-powered tealight.

You could also dye hard-boiled eggs orange (Easter-egg style) and draw jack o’lantern faces on them.

This week we are going to start on some easy projects that will make great gifts in December. Look around your house for glass jars and other glass vessels that would be appropriate for giving infused vinegars.

If you knit or crochet, gather up your yarn stash. More about that tomorrow.

For your grocery list you will need: red wine vinegar, fresh herbs that you like, and a head of garlic. For a separate project you will need: a tin of hot chocolate mix, cinnamon sticks, and ground allspice.

Other prompts this week are some fun things to do just for you. Enjoy!
