See if you can create a cozy outdoor nook with salvaged material or things you already own.

If this seems too elaborate, how about a tepee, a camping tent, or an EZ-up shelter with tarps for walls? The walls are especially helpful for creating a sensation of solitude, especially if you live within view of your neighbors’ homes and yards.

And by all means, put regular indoor furniture outside if you so desire.

Next week is the summer solstice and Midsummer’s Eve. If you’d like to have a small celebration, you might design your nook with that in mind…
