Hang up string lights or ornaments from your outdoor trees. The ornaments could be bird feeders…or anything at all.

I will never forget it even though it was 30 years ago…I once saw a neighbor do a lunch pail tree, like Dorothy in Return to Oz (movie) or The Marvelous Land of Oz (book). It’s kind of an obscure reference, but they did it. It was wonderful.

You could also do ribbons, electric tea lights in jars, picture frames, silk flowers, or clip on bird ornaments from the dollar store. Search “garden wedding tree decorations” on Pinterest for inspiration.

Next week is the summer solstice and Midsummer’s Eve, as I mentioned earlier. Perhaps you might decorate your trees with a small celebration in mind.
