The TV show Parks and Recreation celebrated “Galentines Day” on February 13, celebrating “lady friends”, and this has now caught on around the world.

If you really want to draw focus away from Valentine’s Day, don’t even mention that your alternate day has anything do with that holiday. Just invite your friend(s) to your fun event.
