I put “cocoa” in quotation marks because there is no actual cocoa butter in this beverage, unless you melt some real white chocolate chips and stir those in. But I do not recommend doing that because (a) they are a bit too sweet, and (b) I have done it many times, and melting white chips for a beverage is a big fat pain.

This is a take on my Snowman Cocoa that I posted in January. Snowman cocoa is also “cocoa” unless you happen to add cocoa butter. It’s just heated vanilla milk.

For Shamrock “cocoa”, heat some milk. Any kind of milk you like. You can heat it on the stove top or in the microwave. To sweeten it and make it minty at the same time, the secret ingredient is Torani Peppermint Syrup (affiliate link). One tablespoon per mug of milk. If you don’t have that or don’t want to buy it, then you can add some sugar to taste (maybe a teaspoon per 8 oz milk), and a few drops of mint extract. Green food coloring is optional, but makes it cute. Marshmallows are also optional, but not for me. If I’m having “cocoa” then I always always always put marshmallows on it.

I wrote “cocoa” so many times in this post that it started to look wrong and I had to actually look it up to make sure I spelled it right.
