Are strawberries in season yet? Go to your local farmers’ market or roadside berry stand. Depending on where you live, you may have to drive some distance to get to one, but see what you can do. Whatever is there, enjoy browsing and sampling whatever is in season. If you are lucky enough to live near local farms and many farmers’ markets, try visiting a different one each week.

This photo was taken when I took my kids to a “u-pick” farm. Picking strawberries yourself is really fun, and a workout for your legs since you are doing so much squatting. Bring short little babies who are closer to the ground than you are!
