Try this recipe as an all-vanilla alternative to hot chocolate.

I have a weird food sensitivity and I can’t have hot chocolate. For a long time I made a version of “hot white” which involved melting white chocolate chips into milk. It’s kind of a pain. Kind of a big pain.

This recipe is much easier! For one serving, simply combine in a small saucepan: 1 cup of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and ¾ tsp of vanilla extract. Heat over medium heat until milk is steaming. Pour into a mug and enjoy with mini marshmallows.

You can also heat the milk in a mug in the microwave (start at 90 seconds), then add the sugar and vanilla to the heated milk, topping with marshmallows. This so crazy easy that I regret all the time I ever spent trying to melt white chips into milk.
